Raising Trauma Awareness in Child Welfare Casework Practice in PA will introduce child welfare professionals to a model of care that seeks to prevent trauma for youth, families, caregivers and communities.

Raising Trauma Awareness in Child Welfare Casework Practice in PA will introduce child welfare professionals to a model of care that seeks to prevent trauma for youth, families, caregivers and communities.  Participants will gain an awareness of trauma, its prevalence, and its impact on children, youth, families, and child welfare professionals. This module is the first in a series designed to transition Pennsylvania's Child Welfare organizations into being Trauma-Informed and Healing-Centered. 
This workshop is eligible for up to two continuing education credits.
