Developing Trauma Sensitivity for the Office of Children, Youth, and Families explores what it means to be trauma-sensitive towards yourself and in support of others. This module is the second in a series designed to transition Pennsylvania's Child Welfare organizations into being Trauma-Informed and Healing-Centered. The sections within this module focus on fundamentals of trauma sensitivity; attachment, relationships, and the brain; signs and symptoms of trauma; implementing trauma-informed principles to respond to trauma; self-care; and resources. This training is for staff of the Office of Children, Youth, and Families to increase their trauma sensitivity as they provide direct or indirect support to Pennsylvania's children, families, caregivers, child welfare professionals, and each other.
This workshop is eligible for three-and-a-half continuing education credits.
