Developing Trauma Sensitivity in Therapeutic Foster Care explores child welfare practice, specifically relating to therapeutic foster care, through a trauma-sensitive lens. This module is the second in a series designed to transition Pennsylvania's Child Welfare organizations into being Trauma-Informed and Healing-Centered. The sections within this module focus on fundamentals of trauma sensitivity; attachment, relationships, and the brain; signs and symptoms of trauma; implementing trauma-informed principles to respond to trauma; self-care; and resources. This module is intended for both child welfare professionals and resource parents who work in therapeutic foster care. This workshop is eligible for three continuing education credits.
